Growth Strategy
Workshop
KE facilitates growth strategy workshops for founders, leadership teams, marketing teams, and programme owners — aligning business goals, customer journey, growth priorities, system gaps, and execution direction before campaigns, systems, dashboards, or transformation work begins.
Before execution begins, the leadership team must agree on what growth means, what is blocking it, and what should be prioritised next.

The Alignment Problem
Growth slows down when
the team is not aligned.
Most businesses don’t lack strategy. They lack alignment on what the strategy actually is — and what it means for each part of the team. Before any campaign, system, or dashboard is built, everyone needs to be working from the same growth direction.
Alignment failure 01
“Different definitions of growth.”
The founder defines growth as revenue. Marketing defines it as leads. Sales defines it as deals closed. Operations defines it as capacity. Each team is working hard — but measuring different things and pulling in different directions.
Root cause: no shared definition of what growth means for this business right now
Alignment failure 02
“Execution starts without priorities.”
Campaigns are launched, websites are rebuilt, CRM systems are implemented, and dashboards are built — before anyone has agreed on what should happen first and why. Budget is spent, effort is duplicated, and results are unclear.
Root cause: no agreed priority stack before execution begins
Alignment failure 03
“Strategy stays in one person’s head.”
The growth direction lives in one person’s thinking — the founder, the director, the programme lead. The rest of the team executes without understanding the reasoning behind decisions, and cannot adapt when circumstances change.
Root cause: growth direction never shared, discussed, or documented as a team
The Growth Strategy Workshop creates shared clarity before execution begins. KE facilitates the conversation — bringing the right people into the same room to agree on growth direction, priorities, gaps, and next steps before any campaign, system, or dashboard is commissioned.
When You Need This
Before execution begins.
Before the budget moves.
The Growth Strategy Workshop is the right engagement when the team needs shared clarity — not just one more plan from one person, but a facilitated session where the right people align on what growth means and what to do next.
01
Your leadership team is discussing growth but lacks a shared direction or agreed priorities
When different leaders have different definitions of success — and the team is productive but not coordinated — a facilitated workshop gives everyone the same starting point before execution begins.
Founders · Leadership teams
02
You are planning campaigns, CRM, website, automation, or dashboards — but not aligned on the strategy behind them
Execution investments are more effective when the team has agreed on the growth objective, the customer journey gaps, and the priority order before committing budget. The workshop prevents costly misalignment mid-build.
Pre-execution alignment
03
Your marketing and sales teams are not aligned on lead quality, conversion, or follow-up responsibility
When marketing generates leads that sales doesn’t follow up — or when sales blames lead quality and marketing blames follow-up — the root issue is a missing shared definition of what a good lead looks like and who owns what.
Marketing & sales alignment
04
Decision-makers need grounding in growth systems, MarTech, or digital strategy before approving budgets
Senior leaders and board members who approve growth budgets make better decisions when they understand what the investment does — and how it connects to the business outcome. The workshop builds that shared understanding.
Senior leadership · Budget owners
05
Your government, corporate, or programme team needs pre-execution stakeholder alignment before rollout
Programmes and initiatives with multiple stakeholders, reporting obligations, and KPI targets benefit from a structured alignment session before vendor briefings, procurement processes, or campaign execution begins.
Government · GLC · Corporate teams

What We Cover
Six conversation areas.
One aligned growth direction.
The Growth Strategy Workshop is structured around six conversation areas — each one connecting directly to what the team needs to agree on before campaigns, systems, or dashboards can be effective.
Area 01 · Objective
Growth Objective Alignment
What growth means for this business right now — which metric matters most, what the 12-month success target looks like, and how that objective connects to the daily decisions each part of the team makes.
Success definition
KPI clarity
Priority metric
Area 02 · Customer
Customer Journey & Funnel Review
Where prospects enter, where they drop off, where conversion friction is highest, and what the buyer actually experiences between first awareness and becoming a paying customer. The workshop surfaces what the team already knows but hasn’t discussed together.
Drop-off mapping
Friction points
Buyer experience
Area 03 · Offer & Channel
Marketing & Sales Priority Mapping
Which campaigns, channels, offers, and follow-up activities matter most right now — and what should be paused, improved, or started. The workshop aligns marketing and sales on what a good lead looks like and who owns the follow-up.
Channel priorities
Offer review
Sales-marketing fit
Area 04 · Systems
Systems & Process Gap Review
CRM, workflow, portal, automation, and reporting gaps that are slowing growth execution — where the team is relying on manual workarounds, fragmented tools, or informal WhatsApp-based processes instead of structured systems.
CRM gaps
Automation needs
Process bottlenecks
Area 05 · Data
Data & Dashboard Readiness
What the team should be tracking and reviewing, what reporting currently exists, what visibility is missing, and what a leadership dashboard would need to show to make the right growth decisions each month.
KPI visibility
Reporting gaps
Dashboard needs
Area 06 · Roadmap
Next-Step Roadmap
Prioritised actions, owners, and sequencing the team leaves the workshop with. Not a vague list of recommendations — a structured roadmap of what to do next, in what order, and who owns each step.
Priority actions
Ownership map
Execution sequence
The Alignment Board
The KE Growth
Alignment Board.
Every workshop discussion maps back to the same eight areas — each one a lens through which the team examines their current growth situation. All eight converge into one output: an aligned growth direction the whole team can execute from.
01 · Business Goal
What growth means
Shared definition of the growth objective, success metric, and 12-month target — agreed by the whole team.
02 · Customer Journey
Where buyers move
Where prospects enter, where they drop off, and what the buyer experiences between awareness and conversion.
03 · Offer & Funnel
What drives conversion
Offer positioning, CTA design, and funnel structure — what is working, what is not, and what needs to change.
04 · Channel Priorities
Where to focus
Which marketing and sales channels deserve more resource — and which ones are consuming budget without results.
05 · System Gaps
What is slowing execution
CRM, automation, portal, reporting, and team workflow gaps that prevent the growth plan from being executed properly.
06 · Data Visibility
What the team can see
What is being tracked, what is missing, and what a leadership dashboard needs to show for informed monthly decisions.
07 · Team & Roles
Who owns what
Capability gaps, ownership gaps, and responsibility overlaps that create confusion about who does what in the growth system.
08 · Next Roadmap
What happens next
The prioritised action list, owner assignments, and execution sequence the team leaves with after the workshop.
The workshop is facilitated — not a lecture or a presentation. KE guides the discussion across all eight areas, challenges assumptions, and helps the team reach agreement. The output is a shared growth direction, not KE’s plan handed to the client.
Workshop Format
Four formats.
One facilitated output.
Every workshop format delivers the same alignment output — shared growth direction, priority gap list, and next-step roadmap. The format determines how deeply each area of the Alignment Board is explored and how many participants can be involved.

HRD Corp / Training Claimability
HRD Corp registered provider
Managing workshop costs
through your HRD Corp levy.
Kawan Elite is an HRD Corp-registered training provider. Selected workshop formats can be structured as HRD Corp claimable programmes where suitable, subject to employer eligibility, programme structure, HRD Corp requirements, and employer submission or approval. Employers may be able to offset approved training costs against their HRD Corp levy — subject to employer eligibility, submission, and HRD Corp approval.
This means the Growth Strategy Workshop may be accessible through your organisation’s existing training budget rather than a separate marketing or operations spend — making it a more commercially accessible path to leadership alignment for many Malaysian employers.
Important:Claimability is subject to HRD Corp processes and is not guaranteed by Kawan Elite. KE can support the training structure and documentation, but employer eligibility, programme approval, and submission remain the responsibility of the employer and are governed by HRD Corp requirements.
Who can use this
Malaysian employers registered with HRD Corp who have an eligible levy balance. HR managers, L&D leads, and training managers who manage their organisation’s HRD Corp submissions.
What to prepare
KE can provide training programme documentation, learning objectives, and attendance records to support your HRD Corp submission. Discuss requirements with KE when planning your workshop.
Talk to KE first
If HRD Corp claimability is a requirement for your organisation, let KE know when planning the workshop. Programme structure and documentation may need to be adapted to meet HRD Corp requirements.

The workshop often leads into deeper engagement. After the session, KE can recommend the most appropriate next step — whether that is a Growth Scope Diagnostic, a Growth System Blueprint, a GTM Strategy, or direct execution support — based on what the team aligned on during the workshop.
Why this comes before campaigns, systems, and dashboards
The most common cause of wasted marketing and technology investment is not poor execution — it is misaligned priorities. A leadership team that is not in agreement on growth direction will consistently under-resource the right things and over-invest in the wrong ones. The workshop is the fastest way to surface that misalignment and resolve it before budget is committed. At RM4,800–RM15,000, it is significantly less expensive than discovering the misalignment after six months of campaign spend, a new CRM implementation, or a website rebuild.
