UI/UX Designer

About This Roles:
As a UI/UX + Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for designing intuitive user interfaces, improving user experience, and creating digital assets to support product development and marketing needs. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and the creative team to bring ideas to life.
This is a 24 month contract role with the possibility of conversion to full-time based on performance and project pipeline. It suits someone with 2–3 years of experience in digital design who enjoys balancing creativity with practical usability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and refine UI mockups, wireframes, and prototypes using Figma or similar tools.
- Create user flows and ensure a smooth, intuitive user experience.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
- Produce digital graphics, social media visuals, and marketing collaterals when needed.
- Conduct basic usability testing and gather feedback for design improvements.
- Ensure consistency in branding, design language, and style guidelines.
- Stay updated on UI/UX best practices and creative design trends.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, UI/UX Design, or related field.
- 1–3 years’ experience in UI/UX or digital design.
- Proficiency in UI/UX design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch).
- Strong portfolio showcasing web and/or mobile design projects.
- Understanding of user-centered design principles and design thinking process.
- Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Knowledge of responsive design principles and accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail with a focus on usability, simplicity, and consistency.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks (Vue.js, React, or similar) to understand developer handoff.
- Experience conducting user research, persona development, and usability testing.
- Knowledge of design systems and building reusable UI component libraries.
- Awareness of motion/interaction design (After Effects, Principle, Framer).
- Understanding of analytics tools (Google Analytics, Hotjar) to support data-driven design decisions.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for effective collaboration with developers.
